Settings

Settings come in two levels:

• App settings apply to the whole app; they are described on this page.
• Connector settings are set separately for each connected tracker: Settings → Integrations → your tracker; in short — at the end of the page.

Appearance

• Appearance — the font and its size, the theme (light or dark) and the color palette.

Interface mode

• Advanced mode — switches manually between Simple and Advanced mode. More in Simple and Advanced mode.

Comments

• Mobile app signature — adds "sent from the Taskloc mobile app" to the end of the comments and notes the app writes to the tracker.

Tracking

The Tracking item opens a separate screen of GPS settings:

• GPS tracking — the master toggle for recording routes. Off by default. If tracking is controlled by the team, the toggle is locked with the caption "Enabled by organization policy" — see Team policy.
• GPS parameters — Sampling rate (s), Min distance (m), Max accuracy (m), Batch size (points): how often the app takes coordinates, which points it discards and how many it sends to the server at a time. The defaults balance accuracy and battery use — change them deliberately.
• Auto-pause when idle — off by default; works only with Redmine. More in GPS tracking.
• Pause — Pause next to the timer (the pause button moves next to the timer digits on the task card), Global GPS pause and Global timer pause (a pause stops every session of its type, not just the current task). More in GPS tracking.
• Geofence reminders — "Remind about nearby tasks", "Remind me when I leave", "Stop recording when I leave" with the Cancel window (sec) setting, "Visit log", "Auto-finish on idle". More in Geofences.

Quick action button

• Action — which quick action button is shown on the task screen: Off / GPS tracking / Timer / Check-in (Arrived).
• Task actions as a button — an expandable button with all task actions instead of the bottom bar. When it is on, the separate quick action button is not available.

Maps

• Map source — where the app takes maps from: Own server (the Taskloc tile server), OpenStreetMap (the public server) or Offline pack (a local archive of a region).
• Download regions — downloads offline map archives for working without a network.

Sync

• Sync status — the sending queue and recent operations: what has already gone to the server and the tracker, and what is waiting for a network.
• Refresh cache — forces a fetch of fresh tasks and comments.
• Update over Wi-Fi only — do not use mobile data for background sync.
• Tracker tabs in tasks — off: a single task list for all trackers; on: separate tabs per tracker.

Account

• Email — the account address. The receipt for the subscription payment and subscription emails (trial ending, failed charge) go there, as well as team invitations. A change is confirmed with a code sent to the new address. If you signed in with a tracker that did not share your email, there is a placeholder address such as ivanov@redmine.local here — replace it with your work email, otherwise neither the receipt nor the emails will arrive. • Integrations — the list of connected trackers and adding new ones. More in Connectors.
• Danger zone:
  • Clear active sessions — stops GPS recording and clears the delivery queue on the device; connectors and the login are kept.
  • Delete account — irreversibly deletes the account and all its data. More in Account and organizations.

Connector settings

They open via Settings → Integrations → your tracker and apply only to that connector:

• Task Management — for trackers whose status list is available to the app: Status on GPS start and Status on timer start (which status the task moves to when you start), the Paused and Closed statuses, the Send start note toggle and the Detect automatically button (picks statuses from the tracker's status list).
• Tracker field — for trackers that support custom fields: writes a value to the chosen task field when you finish work. Settings: Ask on close / Ask in comment, Value required, Pick a field (from the tracker's fields and cached tasks) or manual entry of the Tracker field key.
• Custom fields (mileage and address) and Display (project filter, project visibility and order) — described in Custom fields.

The word "project" in the connector settings depends on the tracker: in Yandex Tracker it is a queue, in Kaiten a board, in GitHub a repository and so on.
