Trello API key and token — connecting, lists as statuses and the card address
The Trello connector shows cards from your boards and lets you comment on them and move them between lists. In the app the role of a project is played by a board, and a card's status is the list it is in.
Time is not written to Trello. Trello has no time tracking in any form — no time entries, no field, no total per card. The duration of GPS sessions and the timer is saved in Taskloc and is visible in the app's reports. Optionally you can add a line with the worked time to the card comments — Trello does not sum it up, but people can see it.
Attachments are not supported — you cannot attach files and photos to a Trello card from the app.
How to connect
- Issue a key and a token: trello.com/power-ups/admin → "New" — this is the API key; next to it there is a "Token" link where Trello issues a token for your account. You need neither a workspace administrator nor a paid plan.
- In the app open Settings → Organizations → your organization → Integrations → "+" (or Settings → Connectors → "+" for a personal connector).
- Choose Trello.
- Paste the API key and the token and tap Connect. You do not need to enter an address — Trello has a single cloud.
- In the integration settings name the list for completed tasks, and if you need the "+" button, choose the board and list for new cards.

Lists and "done"
- Trello has no "done" model. The due date checkbox does nothing on a card without a due date, and archiving hides a card rather than marking it as done. That is why completion is a move to the list whose name you specify in the integration settings.
- Lists are addressed by name — as is the automatic status change on GPS and timer start. The name is looked up on the board of the specific card: if its board has no such list, the status will not change, and the app will show a refusal.
- Creating a card requires both a board and a list: a Trello card does not exist outside a list, and there is no default list. Changing the board in the settings resets the chosen list.
Address and mileage
- The address lives right in the card — you do not need to set up an address field. The geofence works out of the box: on any plan, without an administrator and without custom fields.
- Mileage is not written to the card. It needs a custom field, and Trello has those only from the Standard plan; the app does not support writing such fields yet. Mileage is calculated and stored in Taskloc and is visible in the reports. More in "Tracker fields".
Compatibility
- Cloud Trello — the only option, the product has no on-premise version.
