monday.com personal token — connecting, statuses and board columns
The monday.com connector shows tasks (items) from the boards of your account and lets you comment on them and change their status. In the app the role of a project is played by a board, and a task's status is the value of the status column on that board.
Time is not written to monday.com. monday.com does not accept time entries through its API at all — this is a vendor limitation, not a plan limitation. The duration of GPS sessions and the timer is saved in Taskloc and is visible in the app's reports; the Time Tracking column on the board is not filled with it.
Attachments are not supported — you cannot attach files and photos to a monday.com task from the app.
How to connect
- In monday.com issue a personal token: avatar → Developer → My access tokens. You do not need to be an account administrator.
- In the app open Settings → Organizations → your organization → Integrations → "+" (or Settings → Connectors → "+" for a personal connector).
- Choose monday.com.
- Paste the Personal API token and tap Connect. You do not need to enter an address — monday.com has a single cloud for all customers.
- In the integration settings specify the status column and, if you need the "+" button, the default board.
A personal token reads and creates tasks on all boards of your account — monday.com does not let you restrict it to specific boards. Keep it like a password.

Board columns
- The status column is specified by its id, not its title: a column id cannot be derived from its type, and it differs from board to board. Take it from the board's column list.
- Automatic status change on GPS start, timer start and completion is configured by status name — exactly as it is written on the board. Status names are localized by monday.com and differ between boards: if the task's board has no such status, the status will not change, and the app will show a refusal.
- Address and mileage are written to board columns: the address to a Location column, the mileage to a Numbers column. A person creates the columns on the board, and their ids are entered in the settings. These columns are not limited by the monday.com plan. More in "Tracker fields".
Compatibility
