Pyrus — connecting

E-mail and security key — connecting Pyrus

The Pyrus connector shows tasks from your Inbox and lets you comment on them, complete them and reopen them. In Pyrus the role of a project is played by a form: tasks are filtered by form, and a plain task without a form has an empty project.

Time is written as a comment. Pyrus has no separate time tracking: the session duration goes to the task as the spent_minutes comment parameter — together with the completion note, in a single comment. The full picture of the shift (start, end, route) stays in Taskloc and is visible in the app's reports.

How to connect

  1. Open Settings → Organizations → your organization → Integrations → "+" (or Settings → Connectors → "+" for a personal connector).
  2. Choose Pyrus.
  3. Enter the e-mail of your Pyrus account.
  4. Enter the security key (security_key). Employees get it themselves in their Pyrus profile settings (gear icon → Authorization → get the key) — no administrator is needed.
  5. Fill in the user ID only if several Pyrus accounts are registered to your e-mail.
  6. Tap Connect. You do not need to enter a server address — it comes with the authorization.

The key does not expire with the session: if Pyrus revokes the access token, the app re-authorizes on its own without asking you.

What is supported

FeatureStatus
Viewing tasks (Inbox, filter by form)
Creating a task✅ (more)
Task comments
Status⚠️ two values: "Open" / "Completed"
Tags✅ — in Pyrus their role is played by lists
Time entries to Pyrus⚠️ as a comment parameter, not a separate entry
Attachments (files and photos to a task)
Priorities— (Pyrus has no priority field)
Auto-pause— (the pause is recorded only in Taskloc)

Task status

A Pyrus task has no status field. The app shows two values — "Open" and "Completed" — and changes them with a comment carrying the "complete" / "reopen" action. Approval steps are not treated as a status and do not appear in the "Status" field.

Automatic status change on tracking start and stop is turned off for Pyrus: Pyrus has no intermediate "in progress" state, and stopping GPS would close the task.

Compatibility

  • Cloud Pyrus — the server address comes with the authorization, you do not enter it separately.
