YouGile — connecting
Login and password, choosing a company — connecting YouGile
The YouGile connector shows tasks from your company's boards and lets you comment on them and move them across columns. In the app the role of a project is played by a board; a YouGile project groups boards when you choose one. A task's status is a board column, and "done" is a separate flag of the task.
Time is not written to YouGile. Time tracking in YouGile is a single cumulative sum of hours on a task, not a log of entries: a repeated delivery from the offline queue would double the hours, and there is no way to tell it apart from a colleague's hours. The duration of GPS sessions and the timer is saved in Taskloc and is visible in the app's reports.
Attachments are not supported — you cannot attach files and photos to a YouGile task from the app.
How to connect
- Open Settings → Organizations → your organization → Integrations → "+" (or Settings → Connectors → "+" for a personal connector).
- Choose YouGile.
- Portal address —
yougile.comby default. For the on-premise version enter the address of your server. - Enter the login and password of your YouGile account. No administrator is needed.
- If you have several companies in YouGile, choose one. Tasks from the other companies will not come to the app.
This is the real password of your YouGile account. The app does not store it: the password goes to the portal in exchange for a non-expiring access key, and only the key stays on the device. You will not have to sign in again when a session expires.
One company per device. Connecting a second YouGile company replaces the first one.

Columns and stickers
- Automatic status change on tracking start and stop is configured by column name, not by picking from a list: columns belong to a board, and one name ("In progress") works on all boards at once. If the task's board has no column with that name, the status will not change — the app will show a refusal.
- A tracker field in YouGile is a sticker with a free-form value; you enter its id in the settings. More in "Tracker fields".
