Simple and Advanced mode

Most users have one organization and one tracker. For them the interface is as simple as possible: no organization switcher, no management buttons. As soon as the work gets more complex — organizations, roles, several trackers appear — the app switches to Advanced mode by itself and reveals the controls you need.

When it turns on automatically

Advanced mode turns on by itself if any of these conditions is met:

• Organizations. You are a member of more than one organization, or you are the owner or an admin of the current organization.
• Trackers. Two or more trackers are connected in the active organization (see Connectors).

As soon as any condition is met, the app shows:

• the Advanced badge — on the Tasks screen, in the organization switcher sheet and in the Manage organizations list;
• the organization switcher and the management buttons (create, invite) — on the Tasks screen;
• a line with the current reason — in Settings → Display mode.

Notification on the first switch

When the mode switches automatically for the first time (for example, you accepted an invitation to a second organization or connected a second tracker), the app shows a short notification at the bottom of the screen once, with the reason for the switch.

If the reason is a new invitation to an organization, the notification does not name the organization or who invited you — only the fact that Advanced mode is on. This is intentional, for privacy reasons.

The reverse switch (for example, you left the second organization or disconnected the second tracker) happens silently, without a notification.

Turning it on manually

You can turn Advanced mode on even if the conditions above are not met — for example, to see the organization switcher in advance.

1. Open Settings → Display mode.
2. Turn on the Advanced mode toggle.

When you turn it on manually, no notification is shown — you turned the mode on yourself, there is nothing to explain. The line under the toggle always shows what is keeping the mode advanced right now: organizations, trackers, both, or the manual toggle.

If later you are back to one organization without management rights and one tracker, and the toggle is off, the app returns to simple mode.
